The story of the Benvenuti winery is a story of family, tradition, and terroir. Benvenuti family is situated in the quiet Istrian village of Kaldir, overlooking Motovun, where they traditionally grow Malvasia Istriana, Teran and Muscat. The goal of the Benvenuti family was to produce high-quality wines and create a recognizable brand from three indigenous Istrian varieties: Istrian Malvasia, Teran, and Muscat. Santa Elisabetta was named after a single vineyard position grown in indigenous Teran variety.

A big and bold example of what Teran can achieve. Concentrated and very ripe Teran from a special position brings full-bodied pleasure with incorporated freshness and a long-lasting aftertaste. Cellar time of two years in wooden barrels and one and a half year in bottle prepared this Teran for some serious aging time.
