Korčula’s Plavac is special. While the majority of the audience will complain about the thinner body, good Plavac from the “black island of white wines” has a unique vitality. A more elegant performance with all the aromatic opulence, instead of weight, instead of over-ripeness or too much concentration… This is a wine joy, of refreshing acidity with a different structure of tannins, which are very fine, more fruity than leathery and more mellow.
