Dario Prinčić Pinot Grigio 2015

Azienda Agricola Dario Prinčič is located in Oslavia village, a few steps from the border of Italy and Slovenia. Dario Prinčić family-run winery has been one of the initiators of orange wines in Italy with biodynamic farming since 1988. The land is steep, the soil is clay and sandstone and everything is done by hand. After harvest, the grapes are de-stemmed and placed in open wooden vats for the maceration with no temperature control, no added yeasts and no use of sulfur. The wines are bottled unfiltered and often show an orange or amber color in the wine glass.

Intensely pink colored wine is no more an obscure take on Pinot Grigio and this label is the reason. Vintage after vintage, more than a touch of maceration achieves recognizable musky aroma of Prinčić Pinot Grigio. But the wine is complex, from red orange, dried apricots through flowers and red berries to tertiary notes.
