Dvorac Belaj Malvasia 2020

Belaj is the only Château in Croatia with a lengthy history and traditions of winemaking. It’s a registered Historical Heritage. In 1575 a noble Barbo family raises Belaj (Bellai) castle which stood out as one of the largest fortress in the region. With the arrival of the Auersperg family a wine story of Belaj begins and the wine cellar is built during XIX century. Belaj produces wine only from the historical vineyard around the property.

Belaj Malvasia opens up with characteristic acacia flowers and citrus aroma. On the palate, apple and pear dominate with some herbal notes on the salty finish. Different style comparing to fresh Malvasia, but not overly aged in cellar. Nice ageing potential and opportunity to further develop in bottle.
