On the west coast of Istria, grapes are grown on “terra rossa”, red soil. While Santa Lucija is “breathing” the white Istrian soil, the mother of extraordinary wines and above all the unique Buje Malvazija. Santa Lucia is the patron saint of family’s wine portfolio. From this “white” soil comes Franković winery wine selection. It has always been known that the Malvazija from Buje surroundings is distinguished by exceptional quality. But with Franković distinctive Malvazija, Teran, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, and Cabernet-Sauvignon are also born in the same Santa Lucia locality.

A complex wine characterized primarily by it’s ruby-red colour, streaked with a garnet glow. It has a soft structure, outlined by the scent of blackcurrant and blackberries, which gradually opens up to spicy aromas. This wine was aged in barrique barrels and it has a mature, full and rich flavor. Pairs perfectly with truffle dishes, game and red meat.
