Jokić Maraština 2016

- +
$21.99

The Jokic family vineyards are in the heart of Ravni Kotari, between the sea and the Mount Velebit. This combination makes a unique micro-climate for Jokić wines. The Jokić wine label shows a crack in the stone that represents that with hard work anything can grow even from stone. Jokić wines are made according to most advanced ECO standards and have a label of protected designation of origin (PDO).

Maraština is a rare grape, indigenous to Dalmatia. It is made according to organic wine standards. It is also called “rukatac” because the cluster resembles a body with two arms. Maraština ripens late, so the grapes are quite sweet. Due to its flowery smell and lower alcohol percentage, it is called a ladies’ wine. Jokic Maraština is a white, dry, mineral and refreshing wine, with wonderful acidity and fresh fruit aromas.
