Korak family winery is producing limited quantities of high-quality wine that reveal the beauty of Plešivica wine region. Korak family owns 6 acres of vineyards that are located in the most favorable wine-growing areas, at the southern, south-eastern and south-western slopes of the wine-growing amphitheaters of the Plešivica region. At the height 350m to 400m above sea level, Korak cultivates white grape varieties such as Rhine Riesling, Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio, and red grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Portuguese.
This wine is considered as one of the finest and most seek out Pinot Noirs in Croatia. Generally, Plešivica Hills are famous for their efforts in making Pinot Noir. Korak family usually macerates their Pinot Noir between 12 and 14 days and then ages it in barrique barrels on fine yeasts for 10 to 12 months before it is transferred to a large wooden barrels. The texture, the scent, and the taste is true to elegance and smoothness expected from a profound Pinot Noir wine.
