Young and talented natural winemaker, Ivan Kosovec is working on a revival of Škrlet, an indigenous variety from the region of Moslavina. Driven by his passion on hands off winemaking Kosovec made this once ordinary, practically table grape into something extraordinary, not only reviving the planting of more vines but also the elevation of taste of days past. His take on red varieties is equally exceptional. Growing the Frankovka (Blaufrankisch), Zweigelt and Pinot Noir proved to be a right choice.
Fuller body presence at 12.5% alc proves the quality of the grape organically grown in Kosovec vineyard. Expect dark fruit with leathery and earthy tones, tiny tannins but also dynamics on the palate which make this Blaufränkisch almost contagiously drinkable and surprisingly complex at the same time.
