Kutjevo Graševina Vrhunska 2021

Our vineyards are located in the Kutjevo winegrowing region on the southern slopes of Krndija at 45.3° North. The elevation of the vineyards relative to the sea level ranges from 200 and 450 meters. As annual precipitation ranges between 500 and 800 mm of rainfall per square meter – the climate, terroir and weather conditions provide an excellent environment for winegrowing. Large forest circuits of Krndija and Geopark Papuk protect vineyards from sharp northern winds. The grapes for de Gotho Graševina are picked on a micro-location – Hrnjevac that reaches the southern exposure and the altitude up to 400 m. The type of soil is sandy sedimentary rocks, some clay, and carbonate loess. After harvesting grape press, molt flotation, the addition of selected yeasts and fermentation with temperature control to preserve the aromas.

High quality graševina is the brand of the Kutjevo winery. Grape selection comes from the best apellations of the Kutjevo wine region – Hrnjevac, Vetovo and Vinkomir. Fresh, harmonious and citrus-flavored aromas with hints of green apples and a powerful minerality, long aftertaste that opens the notes of chamomile are charachteristic to this wine. We recommend serving at 10-12 °C with top quality sea fish, smoked meat, roasted chicken or turkey meat.
