Navis Mysterium Amphora 2015

The Sea Mystery. A mystery is everything, from wine-making procedures to the other, original Croatian product you will not find anywhere. We offered a story that belongs to our land, that people will definitely talk about. Each bottle is unique, really unique, the product of great love, effort, and time. The unique essence of the Adriatic Sea, exquisite wine ‘Plavac 2012’ from Janjina, clay that is baked in Petrinja, stands made of wrought iron from Sisak, pinewood boxes which are made in Varaždin, glass, cork. Everything is pure Croatian product. After it has been bottled and placed in a terracotta amphora, it is sunk to the depth of 18–25 meters. All Amphoras are perfectly stored, laid on its cork and scattered on several locations of Pelješac aquatorium. It ages in bottles for three months, and later on in the sea for one to two years.

Mineral, spicy and extremely fruity with a strong spicy addition. Plum jam in almost the trademark of Plavac Mali but there are also plenty of berries. Red and black currant in particular. Cloves, cinnamon, sweet spices, cedar, carob. Juicy, ripe and fine polished tannins combined with an unusually high and very pleasant freshness, and ripe fruitiness, make it soft, gentle and pleasantly rough.
