Produced from hand-picked grapes of 100% pure Merlot at the moment of full ripeness and the optimal ratio of acidity and sugar, selected from the best parts of the vineyards. After classical maceration (2 weeks) in controlled conditions and after completed malolactic fermentation, the wine matured for two years in 2000L oak barrels. The aromas of ripe cherries, blackcurrants, plums and black figs, as well as the flavors of dark chocolate, coffee, dried fruit and oak, are complemented by a rich tannin structure. Rounded, complex and rich in polysaccharides, Merlot 999 will gain in quality and aromas in the bottle for at least the following 5-7 years.
