A mature and complex Istrian Malvasia with pleasant minerality. Dimi¬tri Bre¬če¬vić is one of the most interesting Istrian winemakers who produces distinctive wines, and is particularly inspired by the Istrian Malvasia. His mother is from France and his father is from Croatia. He grew up in France and finished his enology study in Bordeaux, afterwards moving to Croatia where he founded his own winery, Piquentum in Buzet.

Maceration for two-three days, spontaneous fermentation without cooling and aging in wood (barriques) gives this wine a lovely straw-yellow color with golden edges. This is a harmonious wine adorned with a soft and smooth texture, quince aroma, and floral components. There is a slight hint of sweet spices and aromatic Mediterranean herbs such as sage. The wine perfectly blends with Istrian prosciutto.
