The Batistic-Zure family lives in the exotic village of Lumbarda, situated at the eastern edge of Korčula island. Lumbarda has been known from ancient times (the continuity of the village goes back to the Hellenic times, between 4th to 5th century B.C.) for its production of high quality white grapes, especially the autochthonous variety Grk, which survived in the loose Lumbarda sand, absorbing the primeval strength of the sun shining in this unique ambience.

Plavac small “Advocatus Diaboli” grown in Lumbarda, on the southern slopes of the island, which have been called Defora since ancient times, here has all the conditions to reach the peak of the variety. By combining the ideal characteristics of the vineyard, daily care in the cellar where it matures in oak barrels, Zure family managed to upgrade all the known characteristics of Plavac variety with challenging aromas and a seductive mix of flavors – Advocatus Diaboli in the truest sense of the word.
