Medvedgrad is a family-owned brewery from Zagreb, Croatia, established in 1994. It was craft before there was craft. Their four brewpubs in Zagreb are favorite meeting spots for locals and tourists alike. Medvedgead’s specialty has always been lagers and IPA’s. Kišna Nedjelja (Rainy Sunday) is a dark beer, 5,3% ABV, with a moderately full mouthfeel which balances hops and roasty bitterness with some malty sweetness. Taste is dominated by coffee, some chocolate and touch of dried fruits with bitterish/sweet finish. The beer was named after the first single of the upcoming album of punk-rock band Hladno Pivo – “Kisna Nedjelja” (Raining Sunday).
