Pronounced minerality is a quality found in all wines coming from the Albus site, but it is most prominent precisely in Pinot Gris. Early-morning harvest, while the grapes are still cool, and their quick processing in cold conditions, contribute to the wine’s irresistible aroma. A fruity aroma dominated by apricot and exotic fruit, combined with a full and complex body, lend this wine its exceptional harmony of taste and aroma. In order for the varietal characteristics to be preserved, the wine is aged only in stainless-steel tanks.

  • Dried fruit
  • Gnocchi
  • Oily fish
  • Poultry

Determined to explore the boundaries of Frankovka and Silvaner Vert, but also of Sauvignon and Pinot Gris from the Orahovica wine-producing region, Martin Albus wines were made by using grapes grown exclusively in a single vineyard. This was done in an attempt to produce wine with a more pronounced character. With two rehabilitated and rejuvenated vineyard sites, Martin and Albus, both of which have shown themselves in all their splendour very quickly, very special wines were created.

The Martin Albus Rosé offers a light, refreshing experience of enjoyment of a seductively fruity taste, which is accompanied by the fresh aroma of wild strawberries. It is characterized by a soft colour, which is the result of short, cold maceration. It can be served as an aperitif, and it is an excellent accompaniment to fish, such as grilled salmon, and semi-hard cow’s milk cheeses. A true refreshment for the palate.

The aroma is imbued by tropical fruit, predominantly passionfruit, and black locust flowers. This wine creates the same sensation in the mouth as it does on the nose; it is completely dry, with a somewhat more crisp flavour.

Silvaner has found its terroir in the Orahovica region, where the Martin site really allows it to reach its full potential. The sun-kissed, southeast-facing aspect, constant air movement and reduced yield have all contributed to this wine’s perfect harmony between fruity aromas of green apples, vineyard peach and citrus, and a complex flavour with a long finish. The Martin Albus Silvaner is yet another proof that Silvaner and the Orahovica wine region are a perfect match.

Frankovka produced from grapes grown at the Martin site is characterised by natural reduction of yield and, consequently, almost ideal input parameters in the grapes. On the nose, this wine is dominated by black berries, sour cherry, vanilla and cloves. The taste is rounded by silky tannins and a subtle body, characteristic of the variety. Alcoholic fermentation is accompanied by malolactic fermentation, which adds to the wine’s elegance and harmony. The wine is fully aged in both used and brand-new barrique barrels, for at least a year, which is ideal for firm tannins to become softer and for the character of the variety to be preserved.
