Croatian rosé wines score big at a prestigious wine competition

Bastian winery

Exciting news has arrived from the third edition of the world’s largest specialized competition for rosé wines, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles – Rosé Wine Session!

The competition is held at Domaine de Manse, the headquarters of the wine appellation IGP Pays d’Oc, known for its excellent Mediterranean rosé and red wines of excellent value-for-money ratio.

This year, the number of registered Croatian rosé wines is less than one percent of the total samples, so three gold medals is an excellent achievement!

Golden medals for Croatian rosé wines

Three Croatian wineries won gold medals, and four won silver medals in the competition, with 1,150 wines participating this year.

The value of the gold medals is significant for two reasons. It is currently the world’s largest specialized competition for rosé wines, and the number of gold medals compared to the total number of registrations indicates a solidly strict competition criterion.

Only 132 gold medals were awarded!

Galić Rosé

Galić’s Rosé from the Slavonia and Danube wine region is a prime example of how modern Croatian rosés should look. Wine has become essential in most upscale restaurants and bars nationwide.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Pinot Noir blend is one of the most desirable rosés, and the Galić winery has made one of its best rosés to date. In this particular wine, you can feel how precision and timing are essential in rosé wine production.

It has a clear, delicately pink salmon color. It is gentle, just as much as its seductive color suggests, with light fruity aromas and refreshing but well-integrated acids. On the nose, it exudes attractive, mainly fruity aromas, while in the mouth, it is seductively juicy on the one hand and intense and long on the other.

One of the most elegant Croatian rosé wines from the state-of-the-art winery with an outstanding mineral character and crunchy freshness makes this wine an ideal winter aperitif and a natural summer refreshment.

Belje Rosé Premium

Belje winery is gearing up for the much-anticipated launch of its newest rosé wine label, Rosé Premium. Although it has yet to hit the shelves, this wine has gained significant attention.

Moreover, this outstanding rosé has already made a name for itself by winning a gold medal at the renowned Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, the most important international rosé wine competition.

With its unique flavor and prestigious award, Rosé Premium is an excellent choice for those who appreciate premium wines with elegance and sophistication.

Silver medals for Croatian rosé wines

In addition to golden ones, four Croatian wineries have achieved success by winning silver medals.
