It is the passion for the distinctive and remarkable terroir of the Eisenberg in Südburgenland that drives Matthias Krön and Markus Bach. On this extraordinary hillside with its old grapevines growing in steeply sloped vineyard sites, unique wines are created. The vineyard parcels of the site Szapary are the steepest hillsides on the Eisenberg and thus the most difficult to cultivate. The grapes for this Blaufränkisch have been grown exclusively on the Eisenberg in the Szapary, on grapevines that are 40 years old, planted in a soil that is pure slate
