As a variety, Crljenak is generally softer than Plavac mali (parent variety of Crljenak), with lighter tannins and a more pronounced fruity aroma. The wine will be seasoned (due to aging in oak) with smoke aromas and you will have balanced notes of cloves and leather. They are followed by fine fruitiness, which then takes over and dominates until the end. Perfectly balanced acids and finely smoothed tannins.
