Mario Mendek began importing wines to Croatia in the second half of the 1990s, and then, in the early 2000s, Mendek decided to produce wines. He arranged a large basement near Dubrovnik. The grapes came from Pelješac peninsula, and the first Selection of Plavac Mali was born in 2003. The oenologist was the very famous Roberto Cipresso from Italy.
