The CUJ family tradition is based on wine and olive oil making that dates back to the 15th century. Kraljević, the family name, was the origin of CUJ, a brand in honor of the grandfather who planted and cultivated the vineyards. CUJ was the grandfather’s nickname, as he always spoke in an Istrian dialect: “Cuj, Cuj da ti rečem (Listen, let me tell you something)”. Teran is an authentic Istrian variety – the grapes come from one of the best locations surrounding Umag, „Bosco Grande“ or in translation „Large wood“.

A rich and layered wine with pleasant and seductive aromas of cherries and plums, accompanied by herbal notes. The wine is slightly sour, soft and hot, with a solid and elegant body. The energy of the wine is confirmed in the mouth, giving specific weight and body, a few tough tannins and acidic character. The variety freshness makes the wine an ideal pair for Mediterranen dishes.
