The Movia estate dates back to 1700, passing into the hands of the Kristančič family with a wedding in 1820. The estate extends over 22 ha of land, about half of which lies on the Italian side of the Goriška Brda (hills of Gorizia) – Collio. Movia is more than a mere wine brand and the name of an estate on the borderland between Slovenia (Goriška Brda) and Italy (DOC Collio). Movia is a way of life, life in all its glory, purity of nature and sincerity of the author. From gentle and light classics, through a range of mature wines with good aging potential. The color is quite intense reminiscent of gold. The nose is so complex, varied and beautifully fresh, full of life. On the palate fine layers of butter, honey, wildflowers, and orange peel all complemented with gentle caramel and butterscotch notes. Dry, medium-bodied on the palate, with vibrant acidities and touch of tannins. It is ready to be enjoyed now but will last for a decade, maybe even two. Another quintessential Movia wine!
