Štampar Winery is in St. Urban in Međimurje. It’s a family winery, run by the father-son team, Bojan and David. The two of them have improved the quality of the wines significantly in the past 20 years. Most of their wines are white, as it is a tradition in Međimurje. Local indigenous variety pušipel is a favorite but they also bottle graševina, zeleni silvanac, rhein riesling, chardonnay, pinot grigio, sauvignon and yellow muscat.

A lively and juicy wine with a fruity character and pronounced spicy notes. A nice and deep dark red hue with violet reflections. The smell is layered.n Herbal notes such as moss are intertwined with ripe sour cherries and hints of dark chocolate, all spiced by a mild tinge of smokiness. The taste is very lively and delectable, sealed with some bitterness. The acidity is mildly pronounced, the fruitiness has a solid presence, while the finish is pleasantly bitter.
